Carnaval
Paris, Ile-de-France, France
Transforming the former Carnaval des Affaires on Boulevard Poissonnière in Paris into a festive brasserie with seating for 300?
That was the challenge taken on by the DODA.A agency in this superb commercial space.
The “carnival” spirit has been preserved with the creation of a tasteful, popular, and colorful decor punctuated with furniture and objects repurposed from their original function.
A real bus now houses a table d’hôte for 10 people, a children’s playground slide links the different levels of the restaurant, safety barriers have been converted into railings, and reconditioned and customized containers with red neon lights create intimate boxes for unforgettable meals.
Beach huts on the street front invite you to escape for an aperitif, road signs become table tops, and scaffolding structures are transformed into a bar canopy!
The glass façade can be completely retracted to blur the
boundary between inside and outside and open onto the Parisian boulevard!
