In the heart of La Garenne-Colombes, DODA.A reimagined a single-family home, transforming its volumes to meet contemporary living needs.

The project centers on a sober yet assertive vertical extension, replacing the traditional roof with a stepped contemporary composition. This new architectural language plays with the superposition of volumes, giving the house a clear, geometric silhouette.

The choice of light-colored brick cladding provides the house with a strong identity while harmonizing with the surrounding urban fabric.

Carefully framed, regular openings emphasize the rigor of the design, while singular details—such as a round window—break the linearity and add character.

Inside, the reorganization of spaces accompanies the upward extension. The upper floors now host living areas that open generously to the outside through expansive windows and a recessed terrace, offering a private outdoor retreat.

This project demonstrates the agency’s ability to reinterpret existing structures: preserving the roots of a suburban home while infusing it with a new modernity, tailored to current needs and its urban context.
