Manoir V
Villers-Sur-Mer, Normandie, France
Perched above Villers-sur-Mer, in the heart of the Côte Fleurie, this 5-hectare Anglo-Norman estate features a landscaped park and a manor house surrounded by six outbuildings, all offering panoramic views of the sea.
The owner commissioned DODA.A to unlock the full potential of the estate through a comprehensive transformation—introducing new landscaping, renovating and expanding several outbuildings, and
undertaking a full restoration of the grand main manor. Respectful of the setting and the architectural unity of the property, DODA.A highlights each structure to create a prestigious, high-end hospitality
destination.
The manor, a distinguished example of early 20th-century Anglo-Norman architecture, spans four floors plus an attic beneath a multi-tiered roof adorned with turrets, dormers, and intricate detailing. The renovation reconfigures the reception areas, introducing a spacious, contemporary open-plan kitchen within the main living room, framed by original century-old woodwork. The basement is completely transformed to include a private cinema and a wine cellar. On the first floor, the original three bedrooms are redesigned into a large primary suite with a walk-in closet and a home office, while the attic is converted into a games room beneath the exposed roof beams.
The fully renovated outbuildings include accommodations for the estate’s caretaker, a spa with an indoor pool, and three independent guest residences.
