Nestled in the hills above Cannes, near Grasse—the world’s perfume capital—this exceptional property sits within a terraced garden of rare beauty, offering sweeping views of the Mediterranean and the Bay of La Napoule. DODA.A has been commissioned to reimagine the estate—its main villa and two outbuildings—into a high-end retreat for seasonal rentals with occasional public access.

The main villa, painted in warm-toned trompe-l’œil, features an eclectic architectural style blending Italian, Provençal, and Spanish influences. Entry is through the upper level via a porch adorned with wooden columns.

The ground floor living spaces are redesigned to create an open-plan layout including lounges, a dining room, and a kitchen, all opening out to an expansive terrace overlooking the landscape, along with a new terrace added atop the extension.

On the garden level below, the suites open onto private terraces. The extension includes a summer lounge that leads to an infinity pool with panoramic views. In the basement, DODA.A has designed a wellness area with a spa and indoor pool, strategically positioned into the sloping terrain to allow for large glass openings onto the lower terrace.

The former caretaker’s cottage, originally a small one-bedroom structure, is gracefully expanded across the slope into a fully independent guesthouse featuring a living room, dining room, and four suites.

The sheepfold, a simple rectangular building, is converted into a fitness area complete with a climbing wall and outdoor deck.

The remarkable garden, populated with olive trees, umbrella pines, and a variety of native species, is enhanced through newly landscaped pathways, serene resting spots, and refreshed panoramic viewpoints.
