In Normandy, in the Charentonne valley, this small farmhouse, built in a veritable haven of several hectares, was just waiting for our client to arrive to give it a new lease of life before it collapsed.
Contacted for an architectural design and decoration project, we called on craftsmen specialising in the renovation and restoration of Norman houses to replace the existing structure.
As the house had a mansard slate roof, we extrapolated this incongruity in the local environment to design an Anglo-Norman-inspired project. The homes of Virginia Woolf and Victor Hugo in Guernsey were real sources of inspiration.
